Personal data we collect on this site
This site does not run sign-up forms, account systems or callback requests. The eligibility checker stores your answers only in your own browser — answers are never transmitted to us. The contact page has a form for editorial feedback and corrections; if you use it, Edward & Amaury Solicitors (this site's publisher) holds the name, email address and message you provide solely to respond to that feedback under the UK GDPR. Using this form is not a legal instruction — nothing sent through it creates a solicitor–client relationship or amounts to legal advice on your situation. If you want to instruct Edward & Amaury on a possible case, contact them directly via the details on the About page.
Cookies
We set a single small cookie (technically a localStorage entry) to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. We do not run advertising cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or third-party analytics that profile individual readers.
Server logs
Like every website on the public internet, our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for the short-term purposes of security, fraud prevention and operational diagnostics. These logs are retained only as long as necessary and are not used to build profiles of individuals.
Third-party services
We embed Google Fonts to deliver our typefaces. When your browser fetches a font, Google may receive your IP address as part of that request — this is a standard property of web fonts, not a tracking integration. We do not embed third-party analytics, social-media trackers, advertising networks, chat widgets or session-recording tools.
Your UK GDPR rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, export or delete. If you believe otherwise, please contact us via our About page and we will investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
